Landscapes are all around us, from Urban cityscapes, through sweeping vistas, to stunning seascapes. All of these subjects fit into this set of challenges. It could be as easy as stepping out of the back door, going for a walk and soaking up the local countryside, right? Wrong. The landscape challenges are some of the most difficult to complete (and certainly the most expensive) in the 2012 set.
This challenge involves visiting the same landmark on 10 occasions (at least) and returning with at least one worthwhile shot. Making one visit and capturing 10 shots is not enough. The landmark in question is somewhat irrelevant, it just needs to be picturesque enough to warrant returning so many times. I have a place in mind for this challenge, and hopefully it won’t take too long to complete.
This is where this challenge starts to get more difficult. Last year I was fortunate enough to travel around Europe on several occasions (specifically northern Europe), but that was more by luck than design. 2012 may not be so obliging.
That’s 3 non-UK Countries, just so we’re all clear. If the challenge above is going to be difficult, then this one is next to impossible (ok, it’s not that impossible to hop on a plane and spend a weekend in a three different European countries… expensive, definitely, but not overly difficult to do). I have it in mind that of the 3 countries, one of them must be outside of Europe. It’s not written into the challenge that way, but it’s a little extra caveat that I’ve added. Just to spice things up.
